Chicago shooting: 49-year-old man shot dead in Little Village on West 25th Street, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) — A man was found shot dead in the southwest of the city on Saturday afternoon.

The victim, a 49-year-old man, was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the 4300 block of West 25th Street around 3:26 p.m., Chicago police said.

Police said officers were alerted to the shooting by gunshot detection technology.

The man who was shot was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said. His identity was not immediately known.

Investigators are continuing their investigations. No one has been arrested.
