Russian glide bomb attack on Kharkiv hits residential area, killing at least three people and injuring 56 people, including three children

UKRAINE, KHARKIV, June 22 — At around 3:13 p.m., Russia attacked Kharkiv with at least four glide bombs, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported. One of the bombs hit a residential area in the center of the city. At least three people were killed and 56 injured, including three children.

Russian attacks on Kharkiv Oblast have intensified since the start of its new offensive in the north of the region. Although the number of missile attacks on the city decreased after the Ukrainian army destroyed the S-300/S-400 air defense systems in Belgorod Oblast, glide bombs fired from jets over the border still reach Kharkiv.

Oleh Syniehubov, governor of Kharkiv region, said the Russians attacked the city with modified glide bombs (UMPD D-30). Here is our photo report from one of the impact sites.
