St. Louis Park police make arrest after shooting

A suspect was arrested following reports of gunshots on Friday afternoon.

According to St. Louis Park police, they responded to a report of gunshots heard near West 27th Street in St. Louis Park around 5:14 p.m. Authorities say a suspect and victim (both female), who knew each other, were traveling in separate vehicles, although it is currently unknown how the victim was involved in the incident.

Officials said the female suspect fired a handgun, striking a home in the 2800 block of Kentucky Avenue South and another in the 2600 block of Idaho Avenue South. The incident caused property damage, but no injuries were reported.

Police arrested the suspect without incident and said charges had been filed.

St. Louis Park Police continue to investigate.
