Texas Taekwondo family saves woman from attempted sexual assault – AsAmNews

A family of taekwondo instructors in Texas helped save a woman from sexual assault.

According to CNN, Simon An and his family heard screams coming from a store next to their taekwondo studio in Katy, Texas on Wednesday. Five family members rushed to the nearest door and found a man attempting to sexually assault a woman.

“I saw a man on top of a woman and the woman was on the ground,” 22-year-old Hannah An told KHOU 11.

Han An, a taekwondo grandmaster, was able to subdue the man while they waited for police to arrive, NBC News reports. Simon An said he was grateful that their martial arts training had helped.

“In a real-life situation, you wouldn’t really expect it, but when it happens, it’s very valuable,” he told KHOU 11.
