“Unruly” visitors to the UBS Arena became violent; five people arrested

Nassau police said they arrested five people for disturbing the peace at the UBS Arena on Friday night.

According to investigators, officers arrived around midnight as security guards were attempting to escort people out. Police say as they took 24-year-old Eduardo Flores Hernandez of the Bronx into custody, 25-year-old Dana Morales, also of the Bronx, began shoving and hitting officers.

According to authorities, 26-year-old Lisset Flores Hernandez of the Bronx bit and hit police officers and security guards.

In addition, police said that 50-year-old Fernando Velasco of New York City and 26-year-old Andy Velasquez of the Bronx punched a security guard in the face as they were both being escorted out of the venue.

The security guard refused medical assistance on site.

Eduardo Flores Hernandez, Morales and Lisset Flores Hernandez face numerous charges, including obstruction of government administration, trespassing, resisting state authority, harassment, assault and others.

Fernando Velasco and Andy Velasquez were charged with third-degree assault.

According to the UBS website, several artists performed at Mega Bash MX.
