Rape: Tour operator charged with raping married woman | Surat News

Surat: A tour operator from Kapodra has been booked by police for allegedly raping a 38-year-old married woman multiple times in the last eight years. The accused also allegedly subjected the woman to unnatural sex, threatened to make her nude photos viral and beat her. The Kapodra police have booked Shailesh Talaviya (42) under Sections 376, 376(2)(n), 377, 323, 504 and 506 of the IPC. Police said that the accused was on the run after the FIR was lodged on Tuesday and the police had formed a team to nab him. According to the complaint, the woman came into contact with the defendant eight years ago through his friend. Talaviya lured her with a marriage proposal even though both were already married and each of them had two children from their respective spouses. Talaviya is said to have told the woman that he did not have a good relationship with his wife. On the pretext of marrying the woman, he allegedly married her in her house, in a resort in Mumbai, in a Bardoli apartment, in Diu, in Kutch, in a farm in Pipodara, in Saputara, in Dhuliya and in a private luxury bus have raped. She also alleged that Talaviya subjected her to unnatural sex and beat her. According to police, the accused allegedly threatened the woman that her nude photos would be made viral if she did not have a physical relationship with him.
