THPD arrests man after alleged cat kidnapping | WIBQ The Talk Station

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A man was arrested following a missing animal investigation in Terre Haute.

According to a Terre Haute Police Department press release, an investigation was launched after concerns were raised on social media that a person was stealing cats and “possibly using them to feed a snake.” Initial findings from the Terre Haute Police Department’s investigation revealed that Kevin Hollingsworth of Terre Haute attempted to capture and release stray animals and that he did not own a snake.

Shortly thereafter, THPD received a report that an animal had been lured from their property, accompanied by video of the incident. Police say Hollingsworth was arrested for theft/criminal conversion in connection with that report.

The animals in question have not yet been found and were reportedly released on the outskirts of the city.
