Foreign tourist sexually assaulted during massage; resort staff arrested – KERALA – CRIME

WAYANAD: Police have arrested a resort employee who sexually harassed a foreign woman at a resort in Wayanad. EM Movin (29), a native of Thalappuzha, was arrested by the Thirunelly police. The accused was arrested by a police team led by Thirunelly Inspector Lal C Baby.

The woman from the Netherlands had filed a complaint with the ADGP by email on June 4. The accused had gone into hiding after the police took up the case. He was taken into custody at his home today.

The incident related to the case took place at the resort in Thirunelly in December last year. The accused, an employee of the resort, sexually assaulted the woman at the resort’s massage centre. The woman had sent an email to the ADGP on June 4 describing the incident. Following this, the District Police Commissioner directed the Thirunelly police to initiate an investigation into the complaint.
