One dead in San Francisco after shooting near Civic Center, SFPD says

SAN FRANCISCO — One person was killed in a fatal shooting in San Francisco, San Francisco police said Friday.

Officers arrived at the scene at 7:13 p.m. on Friday and found the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Police said they performed CPR on the victim before paramedics arrived to take the victim to a hospital.

The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead in hospital.

Police said they had arrested a possible suspect but were continuing to investigate the shooting.
