Emergency crews respond to accident at Marksheffel Rd. and Space Village Ave., avoid area

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) — Cimarron Hills Fire Department (CHFD), Falcon units and Colorado State Patrol are on scene following a crash at Marksheffel Road and Space Village Avenue.

Two people were taken to hospital in critical condition. One of them is said to have suffered life-threatening injuries.

The accident has blocked the entire intersection on Marksheffel Road.

Emergency services are asking drivers to watch out for traffic jams and use alternative routes.
