Former Oklahoma judge arrested in Ottawa County for drunk driving | KSNF/KODE

MIAMI, Oklahoma – A former Rogers County judge with a history of drunken driving offenses is being held in the Ottawa County Jail on a charge of driving under the influence.

Kassie McCoy, 42, of Oklahoma City was arrested Friday for drunken driving and hit-and-run.

According to a statement from Miami Police, Miami Police officers were dispatched to Taco Bell because of an accident in the drive-thru lane.

McCoy fled the scene and was taken into custody near the 900 block of Pine.

McCoy allegedly told the arresting officer that “she would get his job because she was a judge in Rogers County.”

The former judge was charged in Rogers County in 2021 with drunken driving and actual physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

According to court documents, her blood alcohol content was 0.35.

She pleaded guilty to the drunk driving charge and the charges were dropped. She received a three-year suspended sentence.

On April 8, 2022, she was charged with drunken driving in Mesa County, Colorado. Her blood alcohol level was 0.186.

She pleaded guilty and was sentenced to one year of probation.

The Oklahoma Bar Association has suspended its licensing for two years in 2023.
