TBI issues Silver Alert for missing Carter County man

CARTER COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), on behalf of the Carter County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), has issued a Silver Alert for missing 61-year-old Victor Birchfield.

A TBI post on Saturday said Birchfield was suffering from a medical condition that may make it difficult for him to return home without assistance.

According to the TBI, he was last seen on June 19. He was wearing an orange t-shirt, gray basketball shorts, leather shoes, and black socks. He has gray hair and hazel eyes, is 5’6″ tall, and weighs 175 pounds.

Birchfield is said to have been driving a silver 2003 Toyota 4Runner with rear damage. According to the post, the license plate number is TN 070-BKZV.

Anyone with information on the possible whereabouts of Victor Birchfield is asked to call the CCSO at 423-542-1845 or the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
