Buffalo shooting leaves 3-year-old boy dead, 7-year-old sister injured | State News

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — A shooting at an outdoor rally in Buffalo killed a 3-year-old boy and injured his 7-year-old sister, police said Saturday.

The unidentified boy was shot Friday around 9:30 p.m. and was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. The girl was struck by the gunfire and was being treated at another hospital in the city, according to an emailed statement from the Buffalo Police Department.

Police did not immediately provide additional information about the incident. They planned to hold a news conference about the shooting later Saturday.
