Wilson police ask public for help after finding one dead and one injured from gunshot wounds

WILSON, NC — One man is dead and another injured after Wilson police responded to a call about a shooting Friday night.

Officers arrived at the 1200 block of Downing Street and found 43-year-old Anthony Barnes of Wilson suffering from a gunshot wound.

When the emergency services arrived, he was pronounced dead.

A second victim, Rodney Farmer, 43, also known as Wilson, was also found with a gunshot wound. He was taken to ECU Health Medical Center for treatment. The severity of his injuries is unknown.
