Wet roads were the cause of fatal motorcycle accident

Bacalar, QR – A motorcyclist from Bacalar died in a highway accident on Friday after colliding with a semi-trailer truck. The two-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection near the community of Miguel Hidalgo in the municipality of Bacalar.

The National Guard Highways was among the first responders dispatched to the scene in response to motorists’ reports. Paramedics found the male driver of the motorcycle and his motorcycle partially under the tractor-trailer. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The semi-truck was found with one set of wheels in the air when the trailer went off the road and into the ditch. The driver of the semi-truck was uninjured.

Wet roads are believed to be the cause of the fatal two-vehicle accident.
