Private teacher arrested in Hailakandi, Assam, for allegedly raping a minor

Guwahati: In a shameful act, a private teacher was accused of raping an underage 14-year-old girl in his home.

According to reports, the minor girl’s father filed an FIR at Bilaipur police station in Hailakandi district on Friday.

We learn that the private tutor has taken the girl into his home to work as a maid and has promised to give her an education.

But after the girl started living in his house, things took a different turn.

The girl was allegedly sexually harassed on a daily basis and was not allowed to return home.

According to the FIR, on June 19, the girl was brutally beaten by the man and his family members and handed over to the village headman to take her home.

The abused and brutalized girl described her ordeal when she returned home.

The girl’s father then filed a complaint against the accused private teacher.

So far, no arrests have been made and the police are investigating the allegations.
