Sargeant summoned by Spanish GP race management after qualifying incident

Logan Sargeant was instructed to report to Race Control at the Spanish Grand Prix for impeding Lance Stroll in qualifying.

In Q1, Stroll’s Aston Martin was on a fast lap, but Sargeant was dawdling on the racing line approaching Turn 10.

Stroll immediately complained about the obstruction and race officials asked the US driver to arrive at 5.30pm local time (4.30pm British time).

Sargeant qualified 20th and slowest of all in Q1 with a time of 1:13.509. Stroll made it to Q2 but dropped to 14th, three places behind teammate and local hero Fernando Alonso, who also failed to secure a place in Q3.
