Enid-Mann is charged with the murder and rape of a two-year-old and is deemed unfit to stand trial

An Enid man accused of murdering and raping a 2-year-old at a motel has been found unfit to stand trial, a psychiatrist said.

A report from the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services said Michael Geiger did not understand his legal situation and was mentally unfit to support his defense at trial.

Enid police said Geiger kidnapped 2-year-old Caliyah Guyton at a motel while her family was sleeping, took her to a nearby room and sexually assaulted her.

Caliyah was later found dead in the motel’s pool, police said.

Geiger was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree rape and kidnapping.

Geiger’s status hearing is scheduled for August 4.
