Suspected road rage in Newark stabbing after early morning accident

Newark police are currently investigating a stabbing incident that may have stemmed from a car crash in the city’s North Ward early Saturday morning.AdvertisementThe incident occurred around 2:15 a.m. near 160 Mount Prospect Street.

When police officers arrived, they were confronted with the accident and found one person with stab wounds and another with cuts.

The emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to provide medical care to the injured, while the police began questioning the drivers involved.AdvertisementInitial investigations suggest that the violence was triggered by road rage, but authorities are still investigating the circumstances of the incident.

Fortunately, none of the injuries sustained in the incident are considered life-threatening.
