The Supreme Court on Friday upheld a ban on domestic abusers owning guns, the high court’s first major ruling on the Second Amendment since a 2022 case that significantly expanded gun rights.

2. Border Patrol reports arrests down 25% since Biden announced new asylum restrictions

The number of apprehensions by Border Patrol agents of people entering the United States illegally fell in May to the third lowest of any month under President Biden, while preliminary figures released Thursday showed encounters with Migrants declined even further over the next two weeks or so. The president announced new rules restricting asylum.

3. TSA hiring at New York State airports ahead of summer season

5. State teachers call on Hochul to sign classroom heating law

A group of New York state educators is calling on Gov. Kathy Hochul to sign a classroom heating law, which would require districts to address heat conditions when classroom temperatures reach 82 degrees and to leave classrooms at 88 degrees.

Buffalo History Museum seeks memorabilia and photos of The Old Pink

The Buffalo History Museum collects memorabilia, photos and stories from The Old Pink, Buffalo’s famous dive bar recently destroyed by a devastating fire.

The Buffalo Fire Department says employees called the fire just before 5:45 a.m. on June 17. Investigators say the two-alarm fire started outside the building and then spread inside. An emergency demolition of the building was ordered after it was declared a total loss.
