The Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission (MVRPC) has extended the deadline for Clark, Darke, Greene, Miami, Montgomery and Preble counties, according to a spokesperson.

According to Nick Dunn, weather specialist at Storm Center 7, temperatures around 35 degrees are expected today, with southerly winds and sunny skies.

These conditions are favorable for the formation of ground-level ozone, the spokesman said.

Today’s Air Quality Index (AQI) forecast is 101. According to MVRPC, any reading above 101 is considered “unhealthy for sensitive groups.”
