No injuries reported in 18-wheeler crash north of Kirbyville

On Friday afternoon around 2:00 p.m., Roganville and Kirbyville volunteer fire departments responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 96 north of Kirbyville. According to Roganville Fire Chief Mike Smith, a northbound semi-truck attempted to turn into a driveway when a Dodge Ram pickup truck traveling close behind failed to stop in time. The Dodge Ram veered off the road and struck the semi-truck on the passenger side of the cab.

Chief Smith confirmed that there were no injuries. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident. During the investigation, northbound traffic was diverted to the left lane.
