One dead in car crash in Greenville County

GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – One person was killed in a car crash in Greenville County Friday afternoon.

According to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office, officers were called to a crime scene in the area of ​​Taylor Road in Greer around 5:30 p.m. Friday.

According to the coroner’s office, a four-door sedan left the roadway at high speed on Taylors Road, drove through a grassy area and a wooded area before coming to a stop.

27-year-old Matthew Trent Redding was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. According to the coroner, he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

The wreckage remains under investigation.
