Man charged with sexual contact with 15-year-old

A 52-year-old man has been charged with engaging in sexual acts with a 15-year-old girl.

According to court documents, Christopher Scholp was indicted by a Montgomery County grand jury for sexual conduct with a minor.

Scholp is accused of having met the 15-year-old in December 2023.

According to an affidavit and statement of facts, two of Scholp’s family members discovered him and the teenager in a vehicle.

An investigation was launched after the girl’s parents reported to police that they had discovered inappropriate text messages from Scholp in June 2024.

Scholp has posted bail and is no longer in custody, under the condition that he has no contact with the girl and her family.

His appointment is scheduled for July 9th.
