Ford F-150 driver says faulty repair at dealer caused accident

A Ford driver recently went viral on TikTok for posting a series of videos in which she claimed a Ford dealer tied the intake pipe of her Ford 150 with a zip tie, resulting in an accident with injuries.

TikToker Analyze (@analysetyson) racked up over 301,200 views as she recounted how she was allegedly mistreated by a Ford dealer.

The problem has existed for months

Analyze said her ordeal began three to four months ago when her car started smoking. Hoping for a quick fix, she said she took her F-150 to a Ford dealer in Terrell, Texas. Although she had to wait for a backordered part, Analyze said everything appears to be on track. She said the dealer gave her a “loaner car” and told her she would hear back in a few months.

Analyze said she heard back from the dealer about two and a half months later and her husband drove out to pick up her truck. However, as he drove off in her newly repaired truck, “he stalled and hit a pole,” Analyze said. According to her, the accident “messed up the truck” and her husband “went to the doctor” to get his injuries treated.

Angry and confused, she said she towed the wreckage straight to the dealer.

“We took it back to Ford and thought, ‘What the hell?’ We opened the hood and they zipped it up … and taped in our cat hose,” she said, referring to the intake pipe that carries air from the air filter to the engine.

According to analysis, the mechanics admitted that they had zip-tied and glued together key components. However, her alleged admission did not reassure her, but rather made her skeptical.

“They say, ‘Oh yeah, we actually did that, but we’re trying not to do that.’ But we’ll fix it for free,” she said.

Then she said to sign some papers that they had forgotten.

“Then they said, ‘Oh yeah, we noticed you didn’t have any signing papers when you brought the truck in,'” she said. “I think, ‘Well, it’s too late now. You’ve already touched the truck and you’ve already broken it.’ And they say, ‘Yes, but we need your signature.’ And I say, ‘Yes, no.'”

Analyze said that when she finally got the papers in her hands, she noticed that the previously unsigned documents had signatures in two places.

“The Ford dealer forged my signature in two places,” she said, flashing the paperwork in the corner of the screen. “When I asked her, ‘Whose signature is that?’ They say, ‘Oh yeah, when we get clients and they don’t sign at that point, we tend to whip it in there.'”

“So you can sue Ford,” she said, adding, “That’s not their damn right.”

Things only got worse

According to the analysis, the dispute over paperwork continued to go downhill.

“They racially profiled me and my husband. They said, ‘Oh yeah, do I have to call law enforcement because it kind of smells like marijuana in here,'” she said. “That doesn’t mean we’re screwed.”

Frustrated, Analyze said she decided to send the truck to another dealer for repairs, but even that caused a problem.

“When we returned the last rental car that they gave us to tow our truck to another Ford because they were doing too much, there were three – three Terrell police officers on scene,” she said.

In a second video, she claimed the dealer forced her to abandon the car without resolving the issues surrounding the poor repairs. In a third video posted on May 4, Analyze said it was taking legal action against the retailer. She also said: “Ford has denied everything. They’re basically saying they didn’t tape, they didn’t zip-tie, they didn’t fake, and they didn’t do anything like that.”

Analyze added that she had been told they would go to court within 30 to 45 days, although that could change. She said she was still trying to “find a lawyer” to represent her.

The viewers were shocked

“WHAT??? This is crazy and they called the police?? They weren’t trying to get you in trouble because they knew they were in trouble,” one viewer said.

“I’m sorry, superglue?!??!!!?!” shouted a second.

“You can use the money from this lawsuit to buy your own car dealership. I pray you get what you DESERVE QUEEN,” wrote another.

Analyze is not alone

Many flooded the comments section with complaints about Ford.

“They sold me a car without informing me of any recalls or problems – months later my power steering failed while I was driving! They didn’t want to pay for it even though it was recalled!!! claimed one viewer.

“I have a Lincoln and Ford is Lincoln and last year my steering rack broke and I have full warranty and they tried to tell me there was nothing wrong. I kept it for two months to admit it was actually broken,” another shared.

“My 2023 Ford Maverick (now 7 months old) died on the side of the road twice!” said a third.

“I will NEVER go back to Ford. I just got my Toyota and couldn’t be happier,” added a fourth.

Car dealerships have a reputation for doing shady business, and Analysis’s experience isn’t the first viral allegation. Recently, a car buyer noticed that at the end of his negotiations, thousands of dollars had been spent on the car purchase. One woman even had her car remotely disabled by her dealer when she defaulted on a payment.
