Multiple charges against man arrested in Urbana shooting Friday morning

According to Frederick Pulse, officers with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) were called to a residence in the 3800 block of Braveheart Drive around 9:30 a.m. today for an unknown emergency. Upon arrival, gunshots were heard coming from a single-family home.

According to FCSO: “Officers determined that the male caller, identified as Adrienne Mendoza Milam, 48, of Frederick, was the only occupant of the home. A perimeter was established to prevent Milam from leaving his home. Frederick County Emergency Management dispatch used 911 to notify residents of the incident and ask them to stay away from the area for their own safety.

While officers were on scene, Milam continued to fire shots from inside the home. Officers attempted to contact Milam in various ways, but were unsuccessful.

After about an hour, officers were able to reach Milam. They ordered Milam to leave the house. Milam complied and was arrested without incident.

The Frederick County Division of Fire Rescue Services (DFRS) conducted a precautionary measure on Milam and transported him to Frederick Health Hospital for emergency evaluation, where he currently remains.

As a result of the incident, an arrest warrant was issued against Mr. Milam, charging him with the following:

• Three cases of reckless endangerment
• Possession of weapons by a convicted felon
• Illegal possession of a regulated firearm
• Illegal possession of ammunition
• Possession of CDS with a firearm
•Violation of an extraordinary protection order
