Jersey Shore accident causes red light to fail, police cars damaged – NBC10 Philadelphia

An accident involving at least two police cars destroyed a traffic light in a town on the New Jersey coast.

The incident occurred at the intersection of MLK Boulevard and Pacific Avenue in Atlantic City.

NBC10 crews were on scene as investigators worked to collect evidence and determine what happened.

Photos from the scene of the accident show an Atlantic City Police car half-on the curb with damage to the passenger side bumper and driver’s door.

It looks as if the pole of a traffic light had completely fallen over and the lights had hit the sidewalk.

A second police car was seen with its trunk open and appeared to be lying under the fallen traffic light.

We will share updates as we receive them.
