The Houston Texans have one of the premier pass rush units in the entire league

The Houston Texans have built one of the best teams in the league heading into 2024. This team’s strong point in 2023 was its offense. Although the defense played admirably, it was still lacking in some areas.

However, one area where the Texans have been and will continue to be strong is on their defensive line. According to PFF, the Houston Texans’ run defense was around the middle of the league with an overall grade of 63.1, and it was about the same for their pass rush which had a grade of 75.8.

As mentioned, the defense was solid all along the line, but it certainly could have been improved, and that’s what they’ll be looking to do in 2024. Even though it’s not the strongest, the rate The Texans’ pass rushing success rate was a staggering 52 percent, ranking third in the NFL behind the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns.

Some of the players involved have now left for other teams, but Houston has done a tremendous job of bringing back the same level of production, and perhaps even improving it. The Texans will look to Will Anderson Jr., Danielle Hunter, Denico Autry and their linebacker group to once again be one of the most polished units to take on opposing quarterbacks.
