BRADLEY COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) – Bradley County EMS is organizing a fundraiser for a family that recently suffered a tragic loss.

The GoFundMe page asks for financial support for the Miller family.

It explains that Kelly Miller, a mother of three, was recently killed in a go-kart accident.

In addition, her one-year-old baby was injured and lost three fingers, according to GoFundMe.

According to the fundraiser, “Kelly had no life insurance, and now her father, Richard Miller, and the rest of the family are facing tremendous financial problems. They are struggling to pay mounting medical bills, funeral expenses and the daily costs of caring for Kelly’s three young children.”

As of Friday evening, they had raised over $7,000 of their $30,000 goal.

“Richard Miller, Kelly’s father, dedicated his life to serving others. With 15 years of service with Bradley County EMS, 4 years of service with the Rhea County Fire Department, and over 23 years of service with the Cleveland Fire Department in Cleveland, TN, Richard was always there for his community. Now, in their darkest hour, the Miller family needs our help.”

According to GoFundMe, all donations will go to Richard Miller to cover funeral and medical expenses.

It praises Kelly and Richard’s generosity and explains that Kelly was an organ donor.

“Kelly’s generous spirit continues to touch lives even after her death. As an organ donor, she will help save up to eight lives. Her legacy of kindness and generosity is a beacon of hope in the midst of this profound sorrow.”
