Zoomagination opens its doors at the Buffalo Zoo

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Summer nights at the Buffalo Zoo just got a lot more magical.

Zoomagination, the colorful light lantern show, is back for a third season at the zoo.

This year’s event features 39 different exhibits and celebrates Asian and African culture.

The Buffalo Zoo is working with a Chinese company to develop and produce the show.

“It’s just a great way for people to spend an evening with family,” Lisa Smith, president and CEO of the Buffalo Zoo, told 2 On Your Side. “They can come see these beautiful lanterns, have a meal, watch a cultural show. We have three shows a night.”

Smith added that on warm summer nights, visitors will likely spot some animals as well.

Zoomagination takes place on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings until September 22.
