Driver killed in head-on collision on SR-40

The driver and a passenger of the other vehicle involved in the accident on the night of June 20 were transported with non-life-threatening injuries.

HEBER CITY, Utah — On June 20 at approximately 10:35 p.m., a fatal crash occurred on SR-40 near milepost 24. A black Ford F150 was traveling westbound when it attempted to pass another vehicle. After passing the vehicle, the F150 remained in the oncoming lane for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a silver Dodge Ram pulling a pickup truck.

Lieutenant Cameron Rodes of the Utah Highway Patrol confirmed: “The 39-year-old driver and sole occupant of the F150 was killed in the accident.” The driver and passenger of the Dodge Ram suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital.
