Marshall man arrested for public nuisance on W Austin Street

MARSHALL, Texas (KSLA) – An East Texas man was arrested for causing a public nuisance, Marshall police report.

According to police, on Wednesday, June 19, at approximately 6:20 p.m., an officer observed a man driving a white Chevy SUV on W Austin Street, allegedly engaging in “lewd conduct alone.” The man was later identified as Damian Jerel Barr, 31, of Harleton.

According to police, Barr was in public during these acts, including a family with children. Fortunately, the children did not see the incident, police say. Barr was arrested and charged with causing a public nuisance.

On Friday, police executed a search warrant at a location on Lake Road in Harleton in connection with the case. They are asking anyone with information to call police at 903-935-4575 or Crime Stoppers at 903-935-9969.
