Redmond police looking for owner of Great Dane that killed Pomeranian | Pets, animals and nature

Redmond police are asking for the public’s help in finding the owner of a Great Dane that attacked and killed a Pomeranian at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds on Monday.

According to police, the Pomeranian’s owner rushed the dog to the vet, but it did not survive.

None of the owners were able to contact each other after the attack.

Redmond police provided a blurry photo of a white SUV believed to belong to the owner of the Great Dane involved in the attack, as well as three other Great Danes.

The owner, or anyone who knows the owner, is asked to contact the Redmond Police Department via the emergency dispatch center (541-693-6911) and reference number 24-12866.

Police also remind owners that dogs must be kept on a leash within Redmond city limits, except at a dog park. The Deschutes County Fairgrounds requires dog owners to have control of their dogs at all times.
