4 people hospitalized after multi-vehicle accident in the Netherlands

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Four people were hospitalized, including one in critical condition, following a multi-vehicle crash Thursday on Route 16 in the town of Holland, an official with the County Sheriff’s Office said. Erie County to WIVB News 4.

The crash occurred around 5:45 p.m. between Dutchtown Road and S. Protection Road, with three vehicles, including a tractor-trailer, involved and two others struck by debris, according to ECSO.


One of the crash victims has been released, while the other three remain hospitalized.

The section of Route 16 was closed for just under three hours following the accident.
