Instinct Professional Vector Motor Cordless Hair Clipper Recalled – WFTV

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the recall of professional hair clippers. The battery can overheat and pose a fire and burn hazard.

The CPSC said it is recalling approximately 50,000 Instinct Professional Vector Motor cordless hair clippers in blue, red and black. The model number in question is SC607M, which is printed on the back of the machine along with the lot number, the CPSC reported.

The letters “SC” and “INSTINCT” are printed on the front of the hair clipper.

Only the following batch numbers are affected by the recall:

  • 35-22
  • 40-22
  • 15-23
  • 20-23
  • 25-23
  • 30-23
  • 35-23
  • 40-23

Once you have the clipper, you should stop using it and do not charge it. Instead, visit StyleCraft’s website to find out how to remove the battery and get a free replacement battery. You can also take the clipper to an authorized service center or return the device to the company by mail.
