Doctor back in court for sexually abusing patients in Missoula

MISSOULA – A local doctor accused of sexually abusing patients was back in court Thursday, June 20.

A total of 15 people have accused Dr. Tyler James Hurst of sexually assaulting them in the emergency room at Community Medical Center.

Since the last hearing earlier this month, three more victims have come forward. According to court documents, the allegations date back to 2017.

Dr. Hurst is currently in a sex addiction rehabilitation facility in Mississippi and has a court order barring him from leaving the facility.

A judge has scheduled the next hearing in the case for Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 2 p.m.
