2 dead after dump truck accident in Orange County – WFTV

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Two people were killed in an accident on State Road 417 in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said Friday morning.

According to police, the accident occurred shortly before 5 a.m. near mile marker 6, not far from the Orange County-Osceola County border.

According to investigators, two vehicles and a dump truck were involved in the accident.

Two people who were hospitalized did not survive, FHP said.

As of 6:20 a.m., the southbound lanes of SR-417 were closed while police investigated the accident.

FHP did not provide an estimated time for the road to reopen and urged motorists to seek alternative routes.
