2-year-old and two other people shot in Durham apartment complex on East Cornwallis Road

DURHAM, NC — Three people, including a 2-year-old, were shot at a Durham apartment complex Thursday night.

At 8:14 p.m., Durham Police responded to a report of a gunshot wound in the 1400 block of East Cornwallis Road.

When officers arrived, they found three victims – a 22-year-old man, a 20-year-old woman and a 2-year-old girl – who had been shot. Emergency medical services responded and transported all three victims to a local hospital. The child has life-threatening injuries, but the other two victims are expected to survive.

This is an ongoing investigation.
