Police officer arrested for alleged rape of a minor

A police officer has been arrested for raping a 17-year-old minor. The arrested person is Santosh Bot, a 24-year-old police officer from Kanchanpur, who was posted at Bharta police station.

According to SP Sitaram Risal, Makwanpur police chief, the officer was arrested after the 17-year-old filed a complaint with the Makwanpur district police office.

SP Risal said that the police officer accused of raping the minor was arrested on May 29. Makwanpur police have completed their investigation and forwarded the file to the public prosecutor.
