Ice cream truck set on fire in “extremely serious incident”

Police are appealing for information after an ice cream van was allegedly set on fire in Burnley.

At around 2.30pm on Monday 19 June, police were called to Padiham Road following a fire in an ice cream van.

Officials described this as an “extremely serious incident” and are asking for information.

A police spokesman said: “Yesterday morning, June 19, at around 2.25am an ice cream van was set on fire behind the Post Office on Padiham Road.

“This is an extremely serious incident and we are asking for your help. Please call 101 and quote the reference

“LC-20240619-0095 if you have any information or video surveillance.
