2-year-old girl among 3 shots near Durham apartment complex

The shooting occurred on East Cornwallis Road.

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) – A two-year-old is in serious condition and two others were injured following a shooting in Durham Thursday night.

The incident occurred just before 8:15 p.m. at Campus Crossings in Durham in the 1400 block of East Cornwallis Road. When officers arrived, a 2-year-old girl, a man and a woman were found with gunshot wounds, according to police.

All three were taken to hospital. Police said the man and woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The two-year-old is being treated for injuries that police say are life-threatening.

ABC11 crews reported seeing several evidence markers at the crime scene.

Witnesses said they heard several gunshots at the time of the shooting.
