Houston County Sheriff’s Office mourns death of 41-year-old jailer

HOUSTON COUNTY, Texas (KETK) – The Houston County Sheriff’s Office said a jail staff member died Wednesday and will be greatly missed.

Jason Lowery, 41, worked at the prison for nearly eight years with his father and brother. Lowery reportedly died suddenly at his home in Crockett.

“Jason will be greatly missed by his HCSO family. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers,” the sheriff’s office said.
