Pizza delivery man found shot to death in N. Philly – NBC10 Philadelphia

A man who worked as a pizza delivery driver was shot and killed in North Philadelphia on Thursday night, police said.

The shooting occurred around 9 p.m. in the 2000 block of Ridge Avenue near Pete’s Pizza, Philadelphia Police Chief Scott Small told NBC10.

The victim is a 29-year-old man who was found slumped in the driver’s seat of his car with numerous gunshot wounds, Small said.

According to police, he was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

Investigators on site found a car whose window was broken by the gunfire, Small said.

Six bullet casings were found at the crime scene and in the victim’s car, Small said. Investigators believe the suspect was in close proximity to the victim when the shots were fired.

According to Small, the suspected shooter was filmed trying to open the car door before the victim put the car in reverse and rammed another vehicle.

The suspect can then be seen trying to open the car door again, Small said.

According to Small, the suspect was last seen wearing dark clothing while traveling south on Ridge Avenue.
