Continued heat and humidity on Friday, thunderstorms possible until the weekend

According to News 12 Storm Watch meteorologist Sam Augeri, temperatures will feel like 90 degrees across much of Long Island on Friday, and temperatures will be slightly cooler over the weekend.

  • Hot and humid weather with highs around 27 degrees, but temperatures across much of Long Island will feel more like 32 degrees.
  • Sudden showers and thunderstorms will bring some cooling over the next few days, but humidity will be quite high over the weekend.

FRIDAY: Hot and humid with sun and clouds. Chance of a few sudden showers and thunderstorms late in the day. Highs around 86. Lows around 69.

SATURDAY: Warm and humid with a chance of sudden afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Highs around 83. Lows around 69.

SUNDAY: Warm and humid with a mix of sun and clouds. Chance of showers and thunderstorms late in the day into Sunday night. Highs around 84. Lows around 70.

MONDAY: Warm and humid with a chance of some showers and thunderstorms. Highs around 83. Lows around 66.

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny and less humid. Highs around 85. Lows around 67
