FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The woman who died in a fatal drunk driving crash was identified Thursday by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.

The coroner identified the woman as 43-year-old Adeline Ramos of Selma.

At around 12:15 a.m. Thursday, CHP officials said Amadeo Menera, 21, of Kerman, was driving a 2019 Nissan Versa westbound on Highway 180, west of Cornelia Avenue, and approached a 2007 Nissan Sentra.

At the same time, according to the CHP, the driver of the Sentra was driving east on Highway 180 and approached the Nissan Versa. A head-on collision occurred between the two vehicles.

Investigators say Adeline Ramos, the passenger in the Sentra, was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the Sentra suffered serious injuries and was also transported. Her condition is unknown.

According to the CHP, Menera was also taken to a local hospital. Alcohol was determined to have played a role in this accident and it was suspected that Menera was impaired at the time of the accident. He was subsequently arrested.
