Catholic teacher from New Jersey charged with sexual abuse of a child

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ (1010 WINS) — A New Jersey man who was arrested in March 2022 for sexually abusing a 13-year-old student – and subsequently lost his job as a teacher at a private Catholic school – was found not guilty in April and his arrest and charges were expunged from his record, according to public records and his attorney.

The 2022 arrest followed an investigation by the Bergen County District Attorney’s Special Victims Unit into 43-year-old James Falletti, who is believed to have committed the crime in 2017.

At the time, the Corpus Christi Catholic School teacher was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated sexual assault for the alleged coercion.
