NJ Transit train service suspended at Penn Station in New York

NEW YORK (PIX11) — New Jersey Transit rail service was suspended ahead of rush hour Thursday night to and from Penn Station in Manhattan, officials said.

The service interruption was due to a power outage caused by a faulty circuit breaker on the Amtrak train, officials said. A brush fire in Secaucus is hampering repairs and delaying the resumption of service.

According to NJ Transit, Midtown direct trains will be rerouted to Hoboken. Amtrak said there are Delays for trains between Philadelphia and New Haven, Connecticut.

Amtrak Keystone trains 652 and 654 will terminate in Philadelphia and other transportation options will not be offered, the company said.

“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” Amtrak said posted on X.
