3 people suffer minor injuries after incident at Livestock Event Center

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Three people suffered minor injuries in an incident that occurred at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Event Center Wednesday night.

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office stated that on June 19 at approximately 8:40 p.m., one of their officers witnessed a domestic dispute occurring on the property.

While the incident was being resolved, a physical altercation occurred between one of the persons involved in the incident and the deputy sheriff.

A plainclothes Reno Police officer saw the altercation and rushed to help. During the operation, the officer’s weapon came loose from its holster and fell to the ground, causing one shot to be fired.

Three people were injured by the debris and treated by medical personnel.
