Addison man arrested for burglary and assault

ADDISON, NY (WETM) – An Addison man was arrested following an incident that occurred in the Village of Addison on Tuesday.

According to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, 29-year-old Joseph W. Hannacker Jr. was arrested on June 18 for third-degree burglary (a class D felony), third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Hannacker’s charges stem from an incident in which he allegedly broke into a residence to commit a crime. He is also accused of assaulting someone and endangering a child at the time of the incident.

Hannacker was then read the charges before the Centralized Arraignment Court and released.
