Travis Scott arrested for drunkenness and trespassing in Miami

Travis Scott was arrested for trespassing and drunk driving in Miami.

The 33-year-old rapper was charged on Thursday, June 20. We weekly can confirm. Scott posted bail of $500 and $150 on each charge and is expected to be released from Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

“There was no physical altercation with anyone. It was a wild party and Travis has already been released on bail of a few hundred dollars. He is already home,” a source told exclusively Us“No further action will be taken as this was a minor incident equivalent to receiving a traffic ticket with no injuries.”

Scott appeared to address his arrest after it made headlines, writing via X: “Lol.” This is not the first time Scott has faced controversy in the public eye. In November 2021, Scott was performing at NRG Park in Houston, Texas, at his annual Astroworld Festival when the crowd rushed the stage. The stampede left 10 people dead and over 100 injured.

A day after the concert, Scott broke his silence on the tragedy. “I am absolutely devastated by what happened last night. My prayers are with the families and everyone affected by what happened at the Astroworld Festival,” he tweeted at the time. “The Houston Police Department has my full support as they continue to investigate the tragic loss of life.”

Scott, who has two children with his ex Kylie Jennerlater claimed that he only realized the “seriousness of the situation” after the show.

“I just want to pray for everyone who lost their lives last night,” he said in an Instagram Stories video. “We are working to identify the families right now so we can help the system during this difficult time… We are working closely with everyone to get to the bottom of this.”

Despite the violent reactions, Scott insisted that he was unaware of the audience’s injuries because he was unable to see the entire crowd during his performance on stage.

“And even in that moment you think, ‘Wait, what?’ People faint, things happen at concerts, but this (is different),” he said Charlamagne, the God in a December 2021 YouTube video. “It’s so crazy because I’m that kind of artist too – anytime you hear something like that, you want to stop the show. You want to make sure the fans get the attention they need. Anytime I’ve been able to see something like that, I’ve done it. I’ve stopped it a couple times to make sure everyone was OK. And I really just go by the energy of the fans as a collective – call and response. I just didn’t hear that. You can only help what you can see, and whatever they tell you, whenever they tell you to stop, you stop.”

Recently, Scott reflected on his attempt to process the event and told GQ in November 2023: “That moment was devastating for the families, for the city, you know. When you make music, you think about things that happen in life and that happen to you in life, and you focus on things.”
